I'm guessing the 5.9 did not come with that 5 speed? I was under the impression the stick wasn't available with the 5.9... If so is the mileage on the engine or the rest of the truck?
3/4 and one ton trucks came with the 5.9, and NV4500.... maybe his truck is 3/4 ton??

Only 45K miles? Holy smoke...... I think that's the lowest mileage I have seen on a second gen. Are you missing a "1" in there? Or a decimal point perhaps?

Exactly....Ram 2500. They were testing the 6 speed on the 5.9 V8 but opted to use the NV4500. My first truck was a Chevy K1500 (cough cough...not really a truck imo...more of a toy ) so now I have a real truck.
As for miles...those miles are on the original engine, original body, original trany. Synchros were replaced around the 200,000 mark if I recall.
+1 on the 3/4 ton 5.9 v8 nv4500. I enjoyed mine all day today. Odometer is about to hit 365,000. Who knows if that is accurate or not. I was told the gauge cluster had been replaced.
PWC: Any reason why a 6.7 instead of a 5.9? Seems like a much more complicated project, for no real improvement... (over a 5.9 cummins)
139,000mi 360ci. Rebuilt motor due to blown water pump. Two new tranny. (1 under warrenty the other was built to last my my great uncles tranny shop) and minor wear and tear repairs. I love my truck!

Why a 6.7? Because no one else has one like it. I like having a vehicle that is different. I don't think it's going to be any more difficult than any other repower. Even going to a 5.9 would be a lot to do.
And the market is growing more and more for the 6.7. I think as time progresses, we'll see more available with regards to increasing performance with comparable mileage. There are guys with good HP numbers getting 24-25 mpg now.
