I know you have the M1, but from the video's I've seen of Gen 2 Rams with the Hughes AirGap it seems they don't "run out of breath" as easily as the stock intake.
Yes, that's true for the M1 also.
I'll clarify that I can't speak to a performance change of a blown IM to a fixed IM b/c 1) my IM gasket was not blown and 2) I drop kicked the keg.
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and perhaps coil will have an effect too. Complementing updates to the system.
I think it all depends on the severity of the blown gasket, although mine was bulged, it did not pool much oil inside. I don't think it was a severe case of a blown gasket, hense not a big notice after the fix.
Just did mine this past weekend. Looks like there wasnt even a gasket in there just RTV. Crazy! I replaced with the Hughes Plenum kit. ONly 1 manifiold bolt broke!
since i am hoping to get the plenum on my ramcharger fixed soon i decided i would take apart the spare intake i picked up and start cleaning it up. hoping to take it to the car wash tomorrow.there must have been water in the intake at one point.
lol. i will loose the 14.1 and find 18.1mpg . i am just hoping a friend of mine will pay me back. almost really want to get some new injectors to finish off the plenum fix.
