TFOD-HD2
Torqueflite/Loadflite
A500-518-618-42R-44R-46RE-47RE etc Overdrive
1988 - 2007 (does not fit 2003-06 48RE)
Torqueflite Overdrive
Automatic shift; Street, heavy duty or full-race; Holds 1st 2nd, and 3rd to any rpm; Back shifts to 3rd, 2nd and 1st at any rpm; Tow & Go and competition combination. Short firm shifts with performance, durability and class, assures lube flow under any load, reduces killing engine in reverse.
re-programming kit ( its not what you think ) (not wires)

you know that the shifts are alot harder with a shift kit in there neon... thats assuming they actually put the kit in there like they said. I just cant believe its been months and no build sheet.
There isn't a shiftkit persay in the transmission. I asked the technician about that a while ago and he said there wasn't one, he said it just had a racing torque converter. Anyways, that's what the man said, he said they purchased a new processor. I asked him if that was a computer and he said yes. I asked if it was connected to the wiring harness, and he said Yes. I can't tell if he's just making **** up or not, but I'll find out tomorrow afternoon when I call him. If it's fixed it's fixed, if it's not then it's not, and I'm taking the truck back and hiring a lawyer. I'll let you guys know if I get the truck back tomorrow.
They built a heavy duty transmission and you don't have a shift kit? Lol you got ripped off. If all that makes it heavy duty is the torque converter you really got ripped off consider and nice one probably nicer than what they used is under $400 from APS.
no shift kit!!! thats what they told you they were gonna put in to begin with! 4000 dollars.... and no shift kit?? thats like trans basics for HD.
You got bent over my friend, and they didnt need to use lube.

dude WTF???? that shop is total bs. if they built you a "heavy duty" transmission, why the hell is there no shift kit? theres a racing conv.... WAIT GUYS I THINK I KNOW HIS problem is! I learned one time that racing converters with a high stall speed make the throttle kinda touchy. i may be wrong or right, but ask them what the stall speed on your racing converter is. i think this might help.
PS: No F****n shift kit?

I wonder if it is a really high stall converter in there now that you mention it. I'm highly doubting this shop is the best around as if they don't know wtf they are doing with your transmission they surely don't know wtf they are doing with the others either. I'm guessing they just sponsor a lot of vehicles and have a lot of ad's.
yeah, sorry dude, even I got a shift kit installed in mine. That was the first thing they wanted to put in it, in addition to removing the check valve.
I thought I read somewhere that the PCM on our trucks don't control **** points, but the valve body and the TV did the shift timing?
