I kinda feel like i am hijacked this thread. Sorry guys. I will try and make it up by posting the pics of my Filter and temp gauge install later. As for the fitting, if you look at PurpleDodge's Checkvalve thread in step 5 he cuts the radiator side fitting with a dremel, no home depot, no lowes, no pictures. Sorry Zman. I am in the same boat right now, the fitting broke where he cut his. I have it clamped on there for now but would like to clean it up a bit.

How can it be any cleaner than connecting a hose with a clamp to that fitting you are having a problem with and cutting the steel line before the check valve and connecting the other end of the hose to it with a clamp?

Default drilled mine

I drilled my check valve out, blew it out good with air a couple of years ago and never had a problem. I have noticed no difference in take off time but I have always gave it a few seconds to warm up. BTW I have used AMSOIL in it since about 10,000 miles, now have about 75,000. 1998 1500 4WD 360.

yes it is full of pics, but if you will read my reply it is purpldodge's 2 fitting method in question, not aim4squirrles, all the pic are of aim4squirrles. thanks for the reply though.

heres the post:

I dont have to put it in neutral.
Here are the fittings I used, so I don't have as many parts.

You can buy the hose kit from Patc trans. It's already made, ready to go.

Well ,naturally, since this is aim4squirrles thread.
Not for me to decide, but going off on different tangents of different methods of different posters is borderline thread hijacking at worse, and pretty poor forum manners at best, IMO.
