Forced Induction
#31
Hello all, long time. I have very small issues with my ProCharger and I believe that is all due to the PCM. I am currently still running my 3715 but hope to upgrade soon. What appears to happen for me is the transmission lags at shift points if I am high in the RPM band. Some belt slippage. Cant complain love it.

Theres a vortech and a novi 2000 paxton for 1800.00 each, one of those should fit your bill. Price is dirt cheap, but ask yourself "Why is that if they are so great"?
As far as responding to the other posts, it's true that there's a chance of problems with nitorus, but when operated and set up CORRECTLY, there is less risk then any other power adder. Magnum intakes are not meant to flow nitrous or fuel, so most non fogger kits leave themselves open to backfires. I have run nitrous on 140,000+ mile engines with no problems other then tryin to stop the smile on my face. lol Any problems with nitorus can usually be traced back to the install or the driver. I'm still waitin to hear from someone who has their SC dialed in perfectly, I say it can't be done with a factory Dodge PCM. Those FMU's that come with the kits are crude at best, ask anyone who had a Kenne bell with the "optimizer" setup, pure junk. For less then half of what one of those SC cost, you can build a killer nitrous setup and make more reliable and safer power.
SC on the other hand, even when installed correctly prove to be nothing but headaches and hassles. I'll admit it does seem like the Dodges have the most problems, but my chevy and ford buddies that had them were always fiddlin with one quirk or another too. I heard the paxtons kept at the 6 psi level were about the best for a Dodge truck, but no one seems to resist tryin to put a different pulley on for more boost etc Good luck no matter what you do, but search these forums for real world feedback. Don't take my word on it

if you read my post about finding one it says "complete kit". it has no intercooler and who in the heck wants to run 15lbs of boost.stupid boost like that is why most have problems. and i will spend the 5000$ when it comes time.like middle to end of summer like i posted before.

Morning all, I was curious if anyone has put the cummins intercooler on their S/C ram? Im in the planning stages of a 408 striker and an F1 procharger. Also thinking 1000cc injectors, a Wally 255 fuel pump.
Would be greatly appreciated if someone had some insight on putting a cummins intercooler on their 1500 forced induction application.
