check valves for wild vents
I work at VT and would love to watch this plenum fix! me and a buddy of mine fixed mine almost a year ago! I am now fighting this vacuum problem. Going out in just a minute to find out if I've got two check valves on this 95. It appears that one of my check valves was improperly located. Read through this thread and from what I can tell from a line diagram, is that no check valve should be on the line that comes out of intake on passenger side and goes to (vents,4x4, speed control) correct? The only two cv's I see in the diagram are the ones at the TB and the one near the intake manifold port but they both are looped together. coming out of intake, tee'ing to TB and then to evap canister.
Is my thinking correct on this because that is not where I found one of these cv's. I'm going to see if I can find another right now!

I'm from Blacksburg.
The vacuum lines come out of the intake manifold and hit a check valve then a V.
The V is there to send the vacuum line down to the cruise control servo and the other side of the V continues onto a T.
That T has the line going to the manifold on the inbound side, continues on to the transmission crossmember to connect to the CAD unit on the other side and the remaining side goes to another T (toward the passenger fender, away from the intake manifold).
That second T has a check valve on it. One side is connected to the vacuum reservoir (I guess) and the other side (with the check valve) goes into the cab for the vents.
Some trucks have a check valve behind the intake manifold on the line that comes off the V and goes down to the crossmember. I can't remember if mine does or not.

my truck currently has a port coming off the passenger side of intake and goes into a y.
one line goes to cruise control the other goes to the T and one branch of the Tee goes to CAD (it's plugged b/c I have a posilok) the other goes thru the firewall for climate control. This section of the vacuums system actually had a bad check valve on it but didn't show it on the diagram.
Ok, Another port on the passenger side of intake came out and went to a tee and one of hose lines went to TB and the other went to evap canister. In this section of the system (according to the diagram) two check valve should be located. One should be right off the side of plenum before the T and the other should be right before it connects to throttle body.
Can anybody make sense of this and confirm this is correct? Also should I add a third check valve at the climate control? I'm really confused over what it should be versus what I have in my truck which I think has been tinkered with a lot!

YOU RULE!
I did try twisting, I'll try again after I pick up the CV's from the dealership today.
