tranny decision

i'm not sure if the price was including a core charge, here's the link to his policies: http://www.dreviltransmissions.com/policy.html the total price tag was $1925 including shipping. and no, i can install it myself and still have the warranty.
i actually asked him about the whole build sheet deal because i wanted one as well. he told me the same thing he tells everyone else, that he cant give me one because of "secrets". however, he will give me a dyno test sheet with all the pressures and everything on it. regardless, i think that if he truely wanted to keep something THAT secret, he would do something else to prevent it. i mean, if someone REALLY wanted to find out what was different, they would completely rip one apart and reverse engineer it. regardless, i'm not too worried about it. he seemed like a decent guy over the phone.
he also told me that the street evil series of tranny's get more attention than his normal trannys. he said that he's only got one guy on the floor that builds street evils, all his other guys build normal trannys. that kinda gave me a warm fuzzy inside lol. regardless, i hope everything turns out good and i'll keep everyone updated with pics hopefully.

update:
tranny arrived today. took about a week or week and a half total to receive the tranny in my driveway. opened it up and everything looks great! torque converter is there, its an RH not an RE...and the thing looks BRAND NEW! its amazing...i am very happy so far. and it actually came in a tranny case, not just a wooden box or something that i was expecting. i'm very excited to be installing it this weekend. i'll post back with pictures and how the swap went when all is said and done. wish me luck!

well, installed the tranny today. it was the biggest PITA i've ever had on that truck. got everything set, all good, come to find out theres a green vacuum line that doesn't have a home that i can find...in that process of trying to find a home, broke two more vacuum lines. however, before the lines breaking, we started the truck to check fluid level, and it ran like the biggest piece of crap ever. almost exactly like crossed spark plug wires. i honestly have no idea what it is...if anyone has any suggestions or knows anything about a green vacuum line somewhere by the tranny, or why it is running like crap, then please let me know. thanks guys!

unfortunately, i don't have a camera...thats what sucks about it. i'm going back to the shop today to see if i can't trace that line back through and see where its coming from. all i know of right now is that the line is green with a black rubber elbow. i gotta get this fixed today hopefully. do you think it could be the CPS? i didn't bother changing it because i didn't see a point in fixing something that wasn't broken. we didn't even touch it. so i don't see how that could've been the problem. were we suppose to align teeth of the flywheel with something before we bolted it to the flexplate?

update:
as far as the truck physically running, it was the crankshaft positioning sensor...HOWEVER, something is ticking really loudly in the bell housing, meaning either something is bent, or misaligned somehow and rubbing up against something. when we took the tranny out, we found that there were only 3 bolts holding the flexplate to the tq converter plate. there's suppose to be 4 i believe. what was suggested to me was to find another bolt and tighten that down and maybe that would ease or stop the ticking.
on another note, the trans also does not want to down shift when i come to a stop. the rpms go all the way down until its about to stall out, then it'll finally shift and rev back to normal idle. also, it does not want to down shift when i press the gas peddle to purposefully down shift. i can have it all the way to the floor, and it still won't down shift. now i don't know if this is just because the tranny still needs time to be broken in or what (because its a completely re-manufactured tranny), but it just won't downshift unless i actually manually shift it. all the linkages are hooked up and everything. the TV cable is also adjusted correctly. do you think maybe the TV cable needs to be adjusted differently because of such a different shift pattern and work on the inside?
i appreciate anyone's input or suggestions. thanks guys!

i'm going to be doing that...plus it says in my haynes manual i believe that the TPS has a lot to do with downshift and shifting problems in general based on where the throttle is located. which makes perfect sense in my head. plan on getting a new TPS tomorrow, adjusting the TV cable, and hopefully finding a bolt for my flexplate...i'm hoping that the annoying clicking noise is something that i can fix without too much of a hassle...
