reguarding the TPS, I'll say this much. When I changed mine 3000 miles ago, it was a night and day difference. Any time I would hit the gas, there was an immediate response. I loved it.

well, replaced the TPS and it didn't do anything as far as my down-shifting problem. i'm about to go out and re-adjust the TV cable to see if i can get it to shift right. i think thats the problem. the haynes manual is for a stock transmission. this isn't stock, and has had valve body work done to it. pressures could be different. so i'm going to go play with it a little see if i can get it to shift right and i'll post back with the result.

ok, just got done adjusting the TV cable...that did absolutely nothing. i adjusted it every direction to see what i got. right now, its adjusted as per the book. however, it still will not downshift. it also goes into overdrive at a very low speed...and will not come out of it unless i downshift it manually. in fact, it won't downshift at all at any speed...i'm at a loss. i can't think of anything else unless its something wrong inside the tranny itself. if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, i would really like to be getting this tranny working properly. i'll be calling Stacy @ dr. evil transmissions tomorrow to see if he has any suggestions or what. if not, i'm glad its under warranty, however i REALLY don't want to pull that tranny back out again...

this is my official update to my Dr. Evil tranny swap. if you've read this thread at all, you'll know that i installed a Dr. Evil street evil tranny. well, upon installation, come to find out, the valve body wasn't functioning correctly. it wouldn't down shift at all and would shift extremely hard. (shift kit is installed, but was WAY too hard). well, it took me a long time to find a shop i trusted enough to do the warranty work for me. I called Stacy @ Dr. Evil transmissions and he did an OUTSTANDING job! i took the truck into the shop, gave the shop his number, and it was all taken care of. They paid for EVERYTHING. now, it did take a while (a whole month) because a call tag had to be sent to the shop so that the valve body could be sent back(not a stock valve body). so with shipping valve bodies back and forth, and installation and whatnot, a month didnt really bother me. i couldn't complain too much considering i didnt have to pay a dime!

in conclusion, i am EXTREMELY happy with Stacy's customer service. I did purchase the 2 year warranty when i originally bought the tranny, so i'm still covered for a while, and i have no doubt i'll receive the same awesome treatment that i have been getting if anything is to happen in the future. all in all, i highly recommend them. their trannies are a little expensive, but i'd gladly pay the price any day for their service.

the only thing i've decided to do is adjust the TV cable to where i want it...shifts a little too early for me :P lol but thats not a big deal

If your talking about the burnt bulb, you can take the switch out of it's casing and solder a new bulb in.
