Default cruise control help

Trying to fix my cruse control. This is what I have done so far. I had a donor truck so all the parts I changed were from there. I replaced the vacuum under the battery box because the vacuum hose was cracked. I replaced the controls on the steering wheel, changed the clock spring and I still get nothing. I do not get a light on the dashboard to turn it on. What do I need to look at or trying swapping out. My horn does not work either, but I do hear the relay under the hood clicking. Must be the horns or wires or a grounding issue, plan on checking that tomorrow. I did change the horns from my donor truck too because one of then was broke and the other one was missing. And yes, I did check the fuse too.

Thanks for all your help, I have almost all the stupid little things fixed on this beater.

I have fixed a lot of things on this truck, but the following things the things you guys helped me with.

Replaced my plenum plate and gasket
Oil presser switch
Speed sensor in rear axle
Temp switch
Cutting off the tab on the thermostat housing
Poor-mans TB mod
And a lot of trouble shooting.

The last thing I have to still do besides the horn and cruise control is replace the front axle seal, passenger side. I have read the DIY and hopefully I can get to it in a few weeks. Looks pretty simple.

Thanks again.

Checked my horns today, wires check out 12 volts at the plug. Hooked the horns directly up to the battery, Horns are junk. Will have to find some new ones. Still cant figure out what is wrong with the cruise control.

Does the cruise control have a relay that could be faulty?

Do you have the steering wheel controls? On mine, when I turn the cruise on (not set it mind you) a lite comes on in the steering wheel where there is no button. Do you get that lite?

It is a auto transmission, The controls are on the steering wheel. I get no light on the dash or the steering wheel. The one I have, it looks like there is 4 buttons, but one is a fake button. It has never worked since I have owned it. I have checked the fuses, all good. Everything else I got working, except the overdrive button, I can turn it off, but the only way to get it back on, is to turn off the truck. I'm pretty sure the two are not related. Horn does not wok, but the horn is junk.

No alarm, I guess I should check the pins to see if I am getting power. Anyone got a wiring diagram of the switch. I think the one in the Merry Christmas file is different. I think they changed them by then.
