This really isn't the appropriate forum for this kind of discussion. It would be best if we just let the subject drop.

I pay taxes just like you.
I have nothing to do with rewriting constitution.

And if you have ever been a leader of men in combat, you would know that the #1 priority is to make decisions and plans that enable you to bring all your guys back home. THAT'S IT.

I have experienced things firsthand about what i am defending in this forum.
I have gotten off my butt and done something about it. I would respect the hell out of you if you actually did things to try and fix what you think is wrong.

I see that you are very passionate about your opinion and bashing people for "following orders." But if you are so pissed off at the government and what they are doing, I must ask this:
What are YOU doing to fix what you see wrong?

Or are you just blowing hot air on an internet forum defending something that you have no real desire to at least TRY to change.

I know. I REALLY wanted to respond to it all as well.... being ex-military myself.... however....... one of the things a leader also has to do, is pick his battles.

This one really isn't worth fighting, and you get the option here to NOT fight it. Everyone has their opinion. Not all of them are going to match. Best just to chalk it up to a difference of opinion, and let it go at that.

I fully support our soldiers, its the government directing them that I take issue with. But, not here.

HeyYou for president in 2012.

Ok, I will respect the OPs wishes.

Edit:
^^ that might stir things up. but I actually think this thread is going somewhere. Lots of people think that you should just lock things down. but i think that letting this go on would be good.

I have faith that some sort of an agreement can be met. After all Mr Freeze, don't you want to show that you are better than the government that can't agree on anything?

honestly CPTAFW, i want to see his response to what you said....you made a clear and valid point, so i want to see if we can just come to an agreement, and not hold grudges, but i mean this is between you guys, i am not picking sides....take care of it the way you want to take care of it....i gave my opinion like everyone else....and like i said, i think it was disrespectful, but its his opinion

Well, I like to believe that some people can admit to things and offer an open mind,

I will be the first:
Mr Freeze,
1. i got you mixed up with unregistered user about the dishonorable comment. But your post made me thing that you both were the same. The dishonorable comment really got to me all day today.

With that being said, I admit I was wrong with the dishonorable thing, but you can't say that needless people are dying in Iraq to make the rich richer when you support sending young men and women to afghanistan and pakistan to die. You seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum on that one. Like you are saying that you support people fighting in afghanistan. But not Iraq.

So if someone went to afghanistan, are they allowed to have a sense of entitlement? And the Iraq veterans don't deserve it?

I understand what he means by the sense of entitlement. I say that all the time when police officers who were 5000 miles from the WTC think they have a sense of entitlement because they are riding the coat tails of those who fought bravely on 9/11.

So i am guilty of that as well and understand where the comment comes from. But it honestly stems from jealousy of seeing others give the soldier that respect.

OK,I have tried.I have sent letters to congressmen.I always get the we understand your concern but that is not our view at this particular time. One voter doesnt make a difference.A million voters does not make a difference. This is not a democracy. It is a republic and slowing becoming socialist. If it were a democracy wouldnt the people be allowed to vote on important issues and not have lobbyist buying votes and bribes to state senators?
I dont lead men in combat.I lead men at work and they follow me because I set a example for them to follow and I give orders that make sense. They dont do anything I wouldnt do or that I think is not safe.I will challenge my boss or any other superior if I have doubts or concerns.
But you still havent answered my questions...why does your family deserve a house and food on the taxpayers bill even though you are the only one serving thier country while 95ram is starving to feed his family? and if the government told you to fire on american citizens because we arent taking thier crimes against us any more would you do it because this country was formed on revolution and tyranny of the British government so anything is possible.I await your answer and you can have the last word.

Also 95ram,You could have said "Veni, vidi, vici" instead of owned but it would still be wrong. No one was.
