So I got the computer in and tried to start this pig no start. I have some weird electrical stuff going on. I have the airbag light on on my dash, a strange clicking noise coming from my PDC and the hazard lights blink without the switch being on. it cranks but will not start. I am so fed up I am thinking of parting this pig out and doing a cummins swap from a 94 ram that way I have no electrical issues. I think from reading on here that the PDC is fried possibly from the battery being hooked up backwards by my bro in-law months ago. I may be replacing the entire wiring harness and PDC If I can't get this figured out. I am pretty burnt out on this project right now.

positive note I did finish my brake lines ha ha ha

I also have the red security light thing blinking at me and the speedo and tach needles have spun all the way around the peg. I am lost.

The red security light blinking is going to be a problem. I suspect that so long as that light is on, the truck will NEVER start...... If the PCM is expecting some flavor of signal from wherever, the the key has the right value chip in it, and is NOT getting that signal, it prolly disables the ignition system......

I just had the ECM shipped off to florida and had the Security removed from it. I also do not have the transponder plugged in. So it shouldn't need a chipped key.

I think the little lite doesn't believe you........ Got a scanner you can plug in, and see what it thinks??

I have read that it the light can indicate a battery problem. I don't have a scan tool the key trick used to work until the battery got hooked up wrong.

I would be more inclined to beg/borrow a scan tool of some variety, and see if it will chat with the PCM.

I am thinking that hooking the battery up wrong could have fried the PCM.....most electronics do not like electricity hitting it backwards! Cornfuses it......

I would suspect the PCM before the PDC.
