I can figger out the link.
Not sure why that one is censored here. That just seems odd. Guessing I don't know the full story behind that reasoning though.....
In any event, their justification for epoxying the intake was for 'better air flow'...... I really don't think it makes any difference at all. His performance improvement probably came from not having the leaking plenum gasket any more, and opening up the running entrances, so that THEY can flow more air.
I don't think the epoxy trick really does anything.

In addition to my above post.... he had also put a fastman throttle body on there.... even more ammunition of the 'no difference' argument.
Something else to consider.... the thrid gen camaro's/firebirds also used a Long Tube Runner set up, similar in operation to what our trucks have. A fair percentage of the 'performance' manifolds available from the aftermarket (lingenfelter, holly, t-ram, etc.) had LARGER volume plenums...... in addition to the shorter runners.

yes it was dodge talk. I never thought of that. My TB should be identical to a fastman as I am doing it on a mill not just grinding it out. From the pics I have seen I don't think there is much else done to them. A buddy of mine has a mill in his garage and is a machinist so I think mine should come out good. Just waiting for some new throttle blades to arrive. Will post pics when it is finished.
I got them from a guy on dodge talk he cut me 6 blades 2 ea of 52.5mm,52.75mm and 53mm. I could ask the guy doing my TB if he could do another one. I don't know how much it would cost to ship it here but I will let you know when i talk to him again.

Tell your friend if he will do the mods for reasonable rates, he can probably pick up a fair bit of business from here.
