what do i need for plug change

If your plug wires 'leak'. I.E. the spark jumps from the wire to some other metal object on the engine. Makes a rather interesting 'ticking' sound. If its dark, you can actually SEE it. Happens with old plug wires, or wires that have gotten too close to a hot object. (namely, exhaust manifolds.....)

Oh, I forgot to stress that you should change the spark plugs one at a time so you don't mess up the firing order...

you will need to gap the plug before installing them so a plug gapper is in order. wire type is best. plug gap of .040

The gap is not the same for all years. And since we DON'T have that info, it's hard to say! LOL

seeing the op has an 2000 5.9 the gap is .040.

LOL! Is that in a post or does he have it in his sig, so it' is easily referred to? Or am I just blind?

And btw, since we are correcting each other, it's not "the op has an 2000" . It's "the op has A 2000"

oh come on man!!! member since 2007 and 4K posts, and you can't figure out the spark plugs. COME ON MAN.

I would have actually went on a different forum, registered, just to ask that question and not lose the respect of my colleagues on this forum. :P
