The spark plug gap size is noted right on the engine, you can't miss it.

We gonna see it anytime this year? Like, maybe, right after the one you were doing for the plenum?

I'll get it up when the last Dodge Ram goes to the big crusher in the sky.

You don't have to wait that long. They have pills for that now.

RC12LC4 is stock (know as Champion 436 at the parts store). The Champion truck plugs are probably what you're thinking of and their part # is 4436.

A pair of channel locks and needle nose pliers will come in handy if you can't get one of the plug wires to come loose. You can use them to wiggle the heat shield over the spark plug boot (it'll slide over the boot no problem) so you'll be able to get a good grip on it.

The boots come off easier if you give them a twist then a pull.

If your rear pipes on the headers have the big curve in them (#7 and #8) then you should get a wobble head socket extension. That is designed to allow the socket to swivel but just a little bit instead of at 90º like a swivel extension. I broke the porcelain on my #7 spark plug one time because the extension was pressing on the header and I didn't use the wobble head so the socket was pressing on the side of the plug instead of going straight onto it.

Inspect the plug wires for about the first 3" from the boot to see if they're melted or cracked.

Check the gap on the plugs when you pull them, the gap might have opened up a little bit and that could be the cause of your issues.

Are you using lawnmower plugs in your truck? Mine are 5/8".

The rubber boot in the standard socket tends to stick the plug sometimes and pull out of the socket.

I highly doubt the plugs are causing the noise you hear unless one has failed.
I've had that stupid rubber boot keep the socket from going all the way on the plug before and thought I might have stripped it. Now you have me wanting to hunt down a magnetic socket.

The curve in the rear pipes on headers put them much closer to the wires than stock manifolds. I've melted my #8 spark plug wire before because it got too close to the header. But I can't remember if yours have the big curve in the rear pipes or if they go straight down.

You need to get the video proof that your truck sounds better than mine first.

When I pulled a couple of my plugs, I used a 5/8" plug socket and 2 4in (?) extenders and a flexable ratchet that my dad has.

Tool box raid ftw.
