right now it looks like im going to buy this 408 in short block form. any objections? will the flat top pistons be a problem with the 2.02 iron ram heads? i am planning to get the 2.02 heads and airgap intake for it and drive it like that and continue to buy more performance parts as the funds become available... will that work?

With 30thou over you would have a exactly 365.32ci displacement.

ok and i noticed you said it should hit around 300rwhp in the discussion thread. will those 2.02 heads be good with the flat tops? he said the cam was installed straight up, but i guess i could buy a new timing chain set to get it 4 degrees advanced.

anything i should be concerned about, things i should look at when looking over the engine? since i dont know this guy i dont want my new engine dropping a rod.

Didn't you get enough info in the other TWO threads about this motor? Come on now, really. Just ask the question in one of them. I imagine a Mod is just going to merge this anyway.
