After 27 days my plenum repair kit arrived from APS yesterday. The quality seems to be good but the gaskets it came with are Mopar and not FelPro. Are the Mopar going to be ok or should I buy some FelPro gaskets. I'll post some pics of the kit this afternoon.

BTW... Demoes4x I hope you had fun in Glamis. I really hope to make it out that way someday. Until then I have to settle for Little Sahara in Oklahoma.

I'd get Felpro gaskets. But I did hear somewhere that the Mopar gaskets were upgraded some where along the line. 27 days is ridiculous huh?

Sorry, but, I don't think you'll wait a week, let alone 27 days to have the hughes at your doorstep.

I have a bunch of 12ga steel around, is there any problems making a lower plate out of thicker steel? I understand they have different expansion rates at different temperatures, but if the stock one lasts 8+years or 80k+miles, I'm not too worried about redoing it in a few years if I need to.

I think it is more about the quality of gasket, and length of the bolts that hold it in place. Stock, the gaskets sucked, and the bolts were a bit too long...... So, there is the real possibility that if you take your time, use correct length bolts, and a good quality gasket, you may not ever have to do it again.

From what Wayne told me each time I spoke to him was that his web site crashed real hard and this is what caused the delay. The thing I don't understand is why I was told that it shipped and 10 days later I was told the same thing again, Seems like I should have at least 2 by now. I didn't get any real action 'till I opened a dispute on PayPal. When I did that all I got was attitude.... and my part.

Well here are the pics as promised.

The plate...
