anyone tried these out......i noticed today that one of my blade are bent on my fan....so i found this....just wondering if its big enough/ good enough .....
Read a couple of reviews on them a while back, supposed to move more air than stock fan and free up a couple HP due to lighter weight. I'd give it a try...
hmmmm....for 25 bucks its worth it....and since one of my fins on my fan is bent, its probably harder for it to spin right?
Not 100% sure it really matters. The stock fan is not evenly spaced blades. If you look closely, you'll see it's divided into a group of 3 and group of 2. Mopar calls this a vicious fan setup, and it supposedly moves more air with less drag on the engine.
I would think that any reduction in weight/rotating mass would be a good thing, but you won't actually gain much. Even deleting the entire fan and going electric fans only nets about 10 ponies.
It's probably a great stock replacement alternative that doesn't net much if any gains, only drawback would be mudding. It simply won't last.

"Most late 1960s and early 1970s factory-built musclecars were equipped with viscous fans for cooling purposes. Engineers determined through dyno testing that you could gain up to 15 extra horsepower with typical high-performance V8s. These viscous fan packages from Mopar provide thermostatically controlled cooling. They feature a lightweight, balanced fan that uses the least amount of horsepower necessary to turn."
