Default e3 plugs suck

i was driving down the road and all of a sudden the truck started missing like crap and was down on power and the cel was flashin. so i made it home and read the cel and it was cylinder 1 misfire. so i used a old spark plug that came out of the truck and switched it with the e3 that was in there. and started it up and went down the road and the problem went away. got a set of new 3923 autolites for the truck and i have to say the truck is running way better. and some reason the person were i got the e3s at gave me a heat range hotter then what was suppoded to be in there so i think thats why my truck was pingin with the 93 tune sometimes but now with the 3923s i have no pinging anymore. just thought i would share this

this is nothing new. there have been threads in the past stating the exact same thing. i installed champion coppers in my 81 and used NKG V-grove in my 91, both work extremely good.

Just got some nology plugs, solid silver center electrode. Autolites work pretty well be that as it may, but these nology plugs are supposed to be some of the best seeing as how silver has some of the best conductivity properties of all known metals. More info as it comes...

all these plug threads always crack me up. "i had problems with this plug. i had problems with that plug."

when is the last time you seen a thread where someone had problems with the good old stock champions. i have yet to see one.

i have tried the 3923's 3 different times, and each time they developed a misfire in about 3k miles. done with them.they ran great at first though.

I have never had a good experience with champion plugs. I stopped even considering them after a while. They may have been great at one time, but...... at this point, I just won't use them.

I don't remember what brand I put in the truck....
