Awesome. It will save her money in the long run. Suggest that she change the oil more than once a decade though.....

Why don't you just find a complete used motor and swap it in? Change the plenum gasket, o2's and cat. Call it a day. Look on car-part.com and localize it.

Dont bother with stock heads... would she spring for a reman longblock?

If the reman is more expensive I dont think so.
This is a secondary emergency vehicle.

where in TX are you located? i got a 318 ill sale ya cheap, its complete and ran well when it came out of the truck.

i don't know all the details you're looking at, but you might want to stay with a V6 unless you get a donor truck with all the crap you'd need for a conversion, including injector wiring, pcm, possible transmission (i don't know).
