I just searched on Moparts....Get the block checked. You might be good with 40 over. 60 over would kill it.

What make are the 30 over pistons, CR etc and what are you going to do with them?

could be BS, but on moparts, one guy said hes gone 70 on plenty of 360s with no problems.... as a matter of fact there is a guy on this forum who went 80 over with no problems. HeyYou even asked him what machine shop was silly enough to do that. he said he hasn't had any problems though.

here are the pistons, as long as the block is good im selling them, if the blocks no good im keeping them. what about a custom oversize? and yes ik pistons will be EXPENSIVE, but they'll be cheaper than machining an old core.

All the manufacturers have trouble with core shift.... It isn't unique to Mopar.

Custom oversize pistons would probably cost just as much, if not more, than getting a junkyard block prepped. Might even be able to find an already prepped bare block for cheaper.

Don't worry about it for now, cross that bridge when/if you come to it.

Numbers I am seeing range from .125, to .090..... and even as low as .080......

I also noted that a .040 overbore on a 360 is standard size for a 340.... might be something to look at, and save ya some bux on pistons.

There's also a guy with a 501 CI small block...But it ain't no Magnum block.

LA blocks, 340 blocks, early 360 Magnum blocks can take more overbore than the the present day Magnums.

Fingers crossed....Hope it all works, I'd love to do a 408, but my thing is bracket racing, sure I like to go fast, but nothing like taking out a blown Hemi Cuda because the guy can't drive.

I can run my dial in all day long...
