Default Low end power ?

I've had my truck for a little while, been tuning it here and there. It seems like i have great middle-to-top end power but its a lil sluggish on the lower spectrum. I was looking on suggestions on improving this so i can unleash the beast fully!

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

You will more than likely need to pick a range where you want most of your power to be (low, mid, top end).

To start, what gearing/engine is in it? Go ahead and update your sig with all the info so everyone knows. Is the truck stock now?

I have a 5.9 with 171xxx on it. For the most part its stock. I got one of those cheap mufflers dynomax or something and a k&n filter, synthetic oil, good plugs. Nothing to fancy obviously.

Ive been wanting to work on my sig for a while now, just dont know how? any help would be great.

Also while im off topic is there any better way to check your replies then looking at the list of threads and seeing if the number went up? it really annoying this way.

EDIT- i figured out the sig. Would putting on headers help the lower end? I think ima do it anyway but just curious

longtubes require to redo the whole exhaust whcih costed me some bucks for some power, for the money i paid to get it done it wanst worth it. i do have the best sounding truck in town though :P

best mods for money and low end would be sct and 1.7 HS.

fastman and CAI/14x3 will help with throttle responce also

My shorties really opened up the top end, really didn't do much for the bottom though. 1.7's are a better mod the headers imo.

There is one mod that is hands down the best thing for improving your low end though. One word - gears.

Thanks for all the replies. Yea i wish i could do a tuner but i dont think i can as i have a 95, thanks for the idea on the rr. i thought that was out of my league but it might, just might, be a possiblity. So my next question is which would be first for you guys? The headers, 14x3, or hs rr?

Also i probably should do the plenum/kegger mod before the rr's right?

rr about $325, headers about 200-600, 14x3 about 30buck then you will want a k&m filter for i 50bucks

out of those three the rocks will have the biggest bang

also a 52mm tb or poorman tb and a high flow cat

but i wouldnt do nothing till i did the plenum gasket repair if leaking and a full tune up
