Default ByeBye Dodge...Hello GMC!

Hey all,

I traded in my truck today on a 04 Sierra 4x2. Dont need 4x4 anymore and I was ready for better gas mileage. Put more money in the Dodge than I ever wanted to on "regular maint" stuff. Hopefully this GMC will give me less problems!

Thanks for all the help guys! I have the SCT, cold front, tonneu cover, bed mat for sale if anyone needs something....

Sorry to hear that. You had a nice looking dodge! I love those white sports! Do you know if the SCT will work on my 97? And what is the cold front?

I want the SCT.
Good luck with the new truck. It should be golden since it doesn't have the front CV joints that are prone to breaking off road.

is the cold front like a cold weather cover for the front of the truck? Will it fit a 95? If so can I see a pic of it? I am looking for one.

Not sure what years my SCT will work on. I think it might have to be sent in and pay the $100 to reprogram for your truck. PM me and we could work a price out. I think I paid $275 less than a year ago, and I wouldnt ask that much obviously.

The cold front is a 4 piece stainless steel inserts that limit cold air getting into the engine when it gets really cold out. Helps with starts and warming up. I had it for Alaska, which got down to -40 during winter. I know you dont wanna use it much above zero degrees.

I liked my truck too, but it was nickel and diming me. The dealer threw in a 5yr/60k mile bumper to bumper warranty for my new truck....cant beat that on an 04!! The GMC only has 56k miles.

I had most of the common problems done on mine also. But I had way more money into the truck than I could have gotten out of it, so I cut my losses while it was still driving down the road. Needed a dash, windshield, heater core, front suspension, brakes and tires. While I know this is all pretty regular....I put about $5k into it within the year of owning it, and didnt want to figure out what another year would cost me, lol.

That thing is about due for a tranny fluid change.
My friends 01 puked a tranny when it was well under 75k. Then the guy that did the rebuild did a poor job too because it puked all the fluid out shortly after getting it rebuilt.
