I routed the wires as per the TSB.

I ran half a can of Sea foam through the brake booster line and put the rest into the gas tank. Smoked like crazy for a few minutes after the start up.

I cleared the CEL and went for a drive and my rough idle problem seems to be fixed! That stuff works wonders.

I'm going to run it for a while and see if I don't get a CEL again. If it pops back up I'll try the O2 sensor. Thanks for the tip on the NTK or Denso sensor!

Truck has 195,000KM on it (about 120K miles).

You should replace the O2 sensor anyway. It's been in there a long time.

Johnnyjaw,

I bought the $50 plenum plate from e-bay. Works great - no complaints.

As far as the oil in yours, it may be bad PCV also. I am told that you should use on from dealer only. Others form parts stores reportedly don't work as well, although it has never been a problem for me on other vehicles. I bought dealer part anyway - only a couple of bucks.

I just finished the plenum last week. Used the ebay plate from the link above and it worked great. Everything lined up and fit perfectly. Much better choice than the other plates. Just my 2 cents worth.

I need to get mine done so she can quit drinking oil. Ill probably do that while the trans is out being rebuilt.
I have all the parts to do the plenum, but they've been laying in the backseat in a box for a few months. :/

I think he meant dealer part as in the dealer pcv instead of an aftermarket one.
