46RE Transmission Problem
#111
I bought a vag-com cable for my Audi and their software will work on any obd-II vehicle 96 or newer. I wonder if these free software's are compatible with my cable...that sure would be sweet. I'm definately waiting to see why you lost reverse. That sucks big time. Keep us posted. I just got the exhaust and transfer case installed. Now all I have left is to hook up the 4wd vacuum lines, install the driveline, and fill with fluids.

rocky mtn, I was just checking to see if you posted anything about your progress, and saw that you posted here. I am going to drop pan and check rear band. Hope I didn't burn it up test driving. It is going to suck if I have to drop the tranny again.
Will the vag-com with proper software read data such as gov pressure? My OBD scanner reads a few PIDs, but of course, not the ones I want. It is pretty generic.

I guess I should have googled before posting, but then again, giggle probably beats google sometimes. And I have been know over the years to provide "chuckle" material for others.......not so much on "giggle" material though....I guess until now....

Probably.....I was wondering if I had the anchor oriented correctly. Seems unlikely now. Luckily, anchor was laying on VB and does not appear to have gotten into anything as there are no signs of damage anywhere.
Don't want to pull transmission back out but having difficulty getting anchor into place form this position. Thinking of putting it in with a glob of trans gel to hold it in place until I can get reaction lever to hold it in.
