So I got the strut back on the rear band and adjusted per FSM. Filtered ATF through a paint strainer and poured back into quart bottles.

When I was draining and putting the VB into a plastic bag, I noticed that I broke the connector pulling the VB.

I am thinking that super gluue won't help. More $$$$!

Grrrr...

That connector looks pretty nasty. What's on it?

Around the O rings is trans gel. The brown coloration on the part that is exposed outside the case is red west texas dirt that did not clean off, with a coat of tans fluid.

Looks like it's inside the connector as well. Perhaps it's for the best, it would suck to button it all up and have that part fail later on.

I sprayed the inside of the connector with carb cleaner and could not get it clean as I wanted. It is wet in the photo from laying it in the drain pan full of trans fluid also.

New one will be clean....

Not bad for a transmission tech. Here are some mopar numbers, strut 4471497AB and the connector that is broken is 52118500 that is called a 3/4 shift solenoid.

Thanks for the part numbers. The strut was good. I think I may have had it installed the wrong way, allowing it to fall out. It was a lttle difficult to reinstall, it kept falling out on the other side when I tried to push the reaction lever against it. Tight spot. Thankfully it didn't do any other damage. Hope they have the connector in stock.

Yup, beefier parts, but, all pretty much in the same place.
