Go for a new pump. If they have one with a lifetime warranty, get it.

They don't call beer "yeast ****" for nothin'. Although, I will grant that on the occasional really hot day, a nice, ice cold beer, DOES taste REALLY good.

doesn't hurt to change radiator hoses and add a flush kit adapter while stuff is drained too. I also put a new thermostat housing on it (10$). Make sure you rent a harmonic balancer puller, and since the two bottom timing chain bolts go through oil pan it doesnt hurt to have that gasket on hand just incase you F it up. I just returned it after i was done, but hate extra trips to the store. Anti-seize for your spark plugs, Di-electric grease if your nuts like me.

In my thread I did all of what your about to tackle with tons of pics if your interested:

You don't have to. I didn't. (although, I ended up doing the oil pump later...... so, it got a new gasket anyway......)

Last time I had the thermostat housing out I took it and a few of the band clamps in to get powder coated. I primarily wanted the housing coated so it wouldn't have issues with corrosion getting worse (pitting already present) and possibly crumbling or blowing apart one day.

If your plenum is blown then your cat is most likely clogged so you should either replace it or gut it. Also the pre cat 02 sensor
