lots of problems
my 96 dodge ram 360 is having a ton of problems. its misfiring on every cylinder (i was told the ignition coil would solve this) check engine light is on (the o2 sensor) and i plan on fixing them tomarow. but earlier today i started it and its runnin at about 1400-1800 rpms at an idle cold. i got a few suggestions but i have no idea which one is the problem. anyone know whats causing this or if these problems are tied together?

Probably an assortment of problems.
First thing to check though, is the plenum. (see the stickied thread at the top of this forum) I am going to guess that is the major contributor to the rest of your problems. (misfires, O2 sensor, and possibly even the high idle. Its a major vacuum leak.) Do you also have oil consumption problems?

The post-cat sensor really doesn't have much affect on how the truck runs, it is just monitoring the cat. The sensor itself may be fine, and the cat is what is causing the trouble......
Need to address the plenum first, get that dealt with, and see what other problems it also clears up.
