Default Forced to down grade 06 to 98

Well due to circumstances beyond my control, I gave my 06 Ram to my Dad and ended up getting a very high mileage 98 1500 4x4 5.2 Ext cab with a mint body and interior.

Turning into a daily project truck.

So far,

ABS/Brake light is on, new speed sensor but still on.

Reverse lights work but do not come on.

Steering wheel makes a rubbing sound while turning.

May need heater core soon, carpet dry but a little smelly interior

Rear main seal leaks.

HeyYou has been helping me on a daily basis but I will probably be asking for assistance on a regular basis.

welcome to the dark side.

most likely speed sensor in the top of the rear diff, called rear abs sensor.
neutral safety switch, drives side of trans, near the front.
probably inner column bearing, avail at dealer.
heater core is a bitch.
rear main is 2 piece, not that bad. see pavementsucks' tech articles.

Can't seem to locate neutral safety switch. Is it located on the top of the tranny?

Should be right where the shift linkage hits the trans. its own separate connector. If you have the manual, they have a nice pic for ya.
