How hot do yall think these things will get, i want to paint them red and im trying to figure out what kinda paint to get

Get high temp exhaust paint. Anything else will burn right off the first time you drive it. Gotta be able to deal with about 1800 degrees.

hey i have shorty headers removed the cat had a ypipe in place to a e cutout to my flowmaster super 10.. i noticed the other day i got under there to check something idr but i noticed i only have one o2 sensor it looks to be the one that is after the cat. anyone got some input in that? i had a friend following me and i got on it pedal to the floor and they said when i put it down it blew out some black smoke and when it shifted from first to second it did it again. running rich i assume and what i was told . any advice would be greatly appreciated. sorry to hijack the thread

yeah a buddy of mine has a 94 and it had true duels and he was getting like 7 with his 318. he put a y pipe in and put the sensor right after the y and now hes getting 16 constantly

picked up some red high temp paint good for up to 2000 degrees, im gonna paint them tonight

So yall are saying that the Y pipe is a "good" thing for these trucks??
I always thought that straight deuls would be much better, as long as everything was done correctly, i.e. meaning each had a muffler, cat and a o2?
I'm looking into what to do with my trucks exhaust (99 1500 sport, 5.9L 4X4). While putting that 2nd tranny in I noticed I was definitely going to have to do something with the exhaust asap. Everything is rusted out big time. I've always wanted headers for it and now i have a great excuse to do it. (and justify it with the wife!! lol)
