there are only 2 things that that i have noticed, because i did look from the side the entire time. is that when the truck is started it immidiately jumps a rib only on the crank pulley. i shut the truck off as soon as i see it(remote start) and that the belt has moved a bit on the w/p pulley. could this be a bad idler or tensioner, or both?

again this just started happening, just a couple weeks ago. it has been fine up until then. so im thinking that its one of the pulleys.....

well i think i figured it out. need a new water pump! took the old belt back off and the water pump is all over the place, new one will be bought tomorrow!

also, should i replace that little hose that connects to it? its the bypass hose correct?

What else should i replace? I know i need the wp gasket and bypass hose. But what else.... Oh and i hate being on here with a cell phone IT SUCKS!!!!!!

Timing chain would be good to change out , double roller is 40 bucks

I'm surprised your water pump wasn't leaking coolant if the bearing was bad enough to make the belt slip off.

At least she made it as far as she did for you.

yeah me too! poor girl has about 175k on her, and as far as i know its the original pump!
