i literally drove less than 5 miles from my house when it happened. let me tell ya, no power steering, and using as little lights as possible, it was a fun drive home!
Mine has been this way since i bought the truck in may... I keep a set of needlenose pliers in the truck, no big deal

Could also unbolt the dipstick tube from it's mount, take the tube off, and the stick will prolly come with it.

I have some small hobby needle nose pliers that will probably get that out. When you come over to do the TC, we can try and pull the stick out. Just be sure to put some tape or something on it meantime, to keep water and other crap from getting in.

Medical forceps should work great for that dipstick.

And why do you have those? Have a few of those myself. But have not used them for at least 15 years. LOL

dipstick came out when i pulled the accessory bracket. went to my local bone yard and got a new dipstick today for 5 bucks.

oh and truck was running great til the BRAND NEW GMB water pump from advance started pissing from somewhere. gonna pull it on my next day off and warranty it out. got a new gasket, and that tube that comes off the side also leaking from there. truck has TONS more power now that i have replaced the timing set, done the kegger mod, and installed the hughes plenum kit.
