Default Won´t get really warm..?

Hello!

My 97 Ram 1500 5.2 4x4 only gets like 70 degrees warm.
What can the problem be? Thermostat?
Is it hard to change?

Engine temp, heater temp? Which is it? What are you referring to specifically?

Most likely a stuck open thermostat.
Not sure what else could cause it...bad temp gauge? 70* is a little low.

Mine was running cool to and I had a stuck open t-stat. I replaced it (wasnt hard at all) and now it is running the correct temp and the heater warms up like it is supposed to.

I would check the gauge first and make sure it's accurate. Is the heat hot? Does the transmission lock up in OD?

If it is a fail safe tstat (and fails correctly) it will allegedly fail open, not allowing temp to rise. Can't believe the cooling system is that efficient. If mine ran 70 I wouldn't have to run AC!

it locks up in OD. it doesnt blow really hot as it should and it takes a long time for the engine to get hot (around 70)

If the TC is locking up, the coolant is getting to at least 140º. Or are you talking Celsius? In that case 70ºC is 158ºF, which is still too cold. Replace thermostat and go from there.
