The controls themselves are not serviceable, so, if they are the culprit, ya don't get a choice, gotta replace the whole thing.

See if you can push the clear plastic thing on there better, and also check and see if any of the lines there are broke.

I'm guessing it is that clear plastic piece because when I push on it. It quiets a tad bit.Any idea where I can order that part&what it would be called?

Parts manuals are available in the faq section..... I am not sure you can get just that, or if you would have to get the entire harness. Try pulling it off, smearing some Vaseline in there, and see if that doesn't help.

If that fails, that sounds like a good part to get at the junkyard. The dealer, if they sell that one piece, the whole unit together, or whatever, will probably be ridiculously expensive on something like that.

Anybody got a link on how to replace the whole thing?Im guessing its whatever is behind. That clear piece. Also thought I should mention when you turn the truck off you can still hear the leak/sucking for about 5 seconds.

I think the clear plastic piece behind the HVAC switches is attached to several vacuum lines that run to a junction block (another clear plastic piece), if I remember right when I had the dash out to replace the heater core in my 98.

Don't know that off hand. I don't think there's anything between the junction block (clear plastic piece) and the controls. What is inside the controls? Don't know that. I assumed you'd have to break it to take it apart, basically.
