DONE. yes it was easy. helps ive done it before on my previous 2000. lol. Memories coming back as i looked it up. Although i did see something disturbing. sensor ,on back of throttle body, wires were butt spliced back together. not sure what thats all about. Any way ill see if that fixes the original problem tommorrow as christmas duties start tonight.

I got luck and found the governor pressure solenoid and sensor had failed. I replaced them and got another 10,000 miles out of it before tranny failure and having it rebuilt last week...

Cant remember if you said the plenum had been done or not but after I did mine and the requisite parts that go along with that I jumped to 15.4 and I still average that on the hwy every day going to work. The new timing chain I installed made a world of difference as did the SCT provided I keep my foot out of it. About the worst I have seen is in the 11's, and that was very aggressive driving in Dallas.
On a side note since my truck needs paint I'm thinking of going white. I just like the way our trucks look in white.
