Round trip shipping for my trans was $180. For that motor it might be $300ish, but even so, that's still real good.

That's impressive! Still wouldn't start throwin' hot rod parts (or any good money) at it if it were me.
I probably will, always wondered how far it would go and I think the answer is forever on stock parts, so I'd like to see more power out of it or blow it up and have an excuse to 12 valve and manual swap it

Just so you know, you do not have to rotate the motor to install them. I originally installed mine on my 98. Then when it got wrecked, I swapped them over to my 2000, and never rotated the motor once.
