Default Governor Manifold Mod

Found this on Dodge talk.com Thought I would pass it along:

This is a modification that I just learned that really helps your governor pressure performance.

Governor pressure solenoid feed and pressure nylon screen "windows". The sreen windows on the right are where the fluid enters the solenoid.

Stock Governor Pressure block:

The solenoid has over half of the fluid supply screen area covered.

Modified block with a 3/4 inch drill bit, allows 360° access to the solenoid screen area.:

what does this do? does it allow for more consistent shifting? Reduce the likelihood of clogging governors? alter the shift points?

I like it, no matter- I'm just wondering what it does..

Copied from article.
It helps the solenoid get all the fluid flow that it needs to operate correctly.
If the screens get partially clogged, it has three times the area to pull fluid from.
I have tried linking to original thread but this is what I get

lol. bitly link shortener has allowed me to be able to post some thing on dodge forum that you would not normally be able to link directly to from threads on other forums to links to pictures that had words stared out on the link. if you are using google chrome there is a bitly app that make doing this quicker.

While im sure it helps I doubt it helps much. The screen does get full access to the screen since it is recessed anyway.... when my screen plugged it was plugged all the way around it....
I think spending the $50.00 for the borg warner upgraded soleniod with 15% more flow capability may likely be more effective...

But that's 50 bucks you can spend on gas and take your chances with it.

you could also do nothing and save the money on the gasket and fluid and time spent and still be taking a chance... I'm just saying its all relitive to the amount of time/money spent versus actual effect it will have on performance.
