Awesome, thanks guys. Ill give them a call sometime

I plan on actually keeping the truck for a little bit, im going to do headers and a custom exhaust at some point, 14x3, HS 1.7s at some point, and other things that wont increase fuel consumption lol. Im going to mod my keg and throttle body while i have it off this week too.

its a good idea not to remove more than 3/4" of runner material from the kegger,,, the more you remove the more torque and hp you lose below 5,000rpm to gain above power above that point..
if you need the power above 5,000 rpm great... most dont in a pickup truck..

I dont think ill cut the runners any, just take out the divider, and i think ill trim all the BS off the throttle body too.

Will i be better off not cutting the runners at all? As far as low-mid torque/power goes. My truck doesnt even go past 5,000, it shifts at like 4,800.

Get a double roller chain - last longer than the OEM Morse chain.

I got mine here: http://mopartsracing.com/parts/a.html. Good price, fast shipping. Also get new gasket for timing cover.....others have regretted not doing so!

Cutting the runners simply moves the power band up a bit. You still won't have any power above 5000 RPM. It also gives you a bit more in the mid range.

it does.... but some guys on another ram forum have a thread going with multiple dyno results and found it does in fact "rob Peter to pay Paul" so to speak.... they found the truck produced less torque and hp in the lower end and more in the upper end.... for example one guy gained 10hp at like 5,500 by cutting off a good portion of the runners.... but he lost like 14hp d and torque own low where most of us really need and use it.... its not really an even deal..

Would love to see those dyno results. Especially if they actually start logging below 2500 RPM, like most of them I have found do.....

My power doesnt come on untill about 3 grand,(probably because of my plenum gasket) but it pulls all the way til it shifts just short of 5 grand. So all im going to do is cut the center divider out, and slap my new 14x3 pro-flo on and call it a day.

With relation to the transmission, It should be getting done today. Im going to finish up the plenum gasket and get all the intake back together before we start putting the tranny back in. Does anybody have any idea how many quarts of fluid it should take from being completely empty?
