Anybody have any Feedback on this intake.....
I am looking at replacing the stock intake manifold kegger! Even tho I just did the plenum gasket and aluminum pan. I am just looking for something that I can just replace the stock manifold with an just bolt the rest of the stock pieces back on.
I found this from hughes engines:
https://hughesengines.secure.nharmon...9&partid=24773
Just wondering if anyone has bought this before and has any feedback on it.
Can I bolt my stock throttle body to it? and Fuel Rail w/injectors?
Any info would be great I want to replace my intake while it is all still fresh in my head lol.
Or if anyone knows of a better deal that is an intake that I can just bolt on and go, please let me know. $600 is lots and I am not against that much but if there is something cheaper I maybe inclined to do that.
My list in order of stuff do to my truck:
#1. Intake Manifold #2. CAI (most likely spectre) #3. Exhaust #4. Tuner (hemifever, so much postive feedback gets me sooo excitied to do this!!) #5. New Steering Gear box #6. potential re-gearing to 4;10's but not sure yet!
Any info and input on my list would also be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!

Did you do a search? There is an active thread about this intake that was started 2 days ago. It'll probably answer some of your questions....

Sorry I did not search, and yes there is an exact thread started already. My apologies! Sounds like all postive feed back for the intake. Is there anything cheaper out there?
My main reason for this is that I want to have a fixed plenum haha and I would like to be able to pull my boat or my trailer anywhere. Right now I feel like I am going to have to gear down to 3rd or 2nd to make some hills around here.

There is also the Mopar M1 intake...... it is initially cheaper than the hughes, but, I think by the time all is said and done, you end up spending about the same. Merc225hp has the M1 on his truck, and he seems to like it.
Any chance you can add that fact to your sig and profile? This way you can get more accurate info on certain subjects. After all, that is what people look at before replying.

Just reading about the m1 intake and no one recommends running it on a stock old engine. Do you guys think the same with the hughes/edelbrock intake? I am just going to be running this on a stock engine, with a cai, exhaust, and tune.
I don't recommend spending 600 on any one thing for an "old stock engine". Except to rebuild it . LOL But all in all, when that time come's , if you still have the truck, you'll have a nice intake to put on it when it is rebuilt.
I'd get some heads from Clearwater before I spent money on an intake manifold.
