Ok I am a POST ***** but a few of you said you enjoyed the pictures.

Onboard Air for the AirRock system plus ARB lockers and to fill the tires after a day of playing. Not a great picture but that is a York compressor and a 175 amp altenator for my onboard welder.

Onboard welder is hidden in the glove box. It really does work out great.

Is that REALLY a welder in the glove box? Brand, links, etc. That looks interesting!

This is the onboard welder link: http://www.premierpowerwelder.com/index.html

And then I also carry a mig welder in a case. It can hook to the arc welder leads or to two or more batteries. Here is a link for it: http://www.premierpowerwelder.com/re...readyweld.html

And then when I'm out somewhere that there isn't a lot of trees and stuff I carry a Pull Pal: http://www.pullpal.com/

My Jeep is setup for pretty much anything I need and if some breaks down I've got the tools to fix it. I've used my welder on maybe 10 rigs since I had it. The unit also has a 110 AC outlet and I sat one day just running my Jeep while we installed a fence to keep people out of a closed area. It was all rock so we were using roto hammer drills. You couldn't get anything much bigger than my Jeep up there so I was the only power.

Whoot Whoot Hot dickity dog am I one happy fool. I just got done putting the bottom end back together. I'd ran into a few issues because a few caps had gotten switched around onto the wrong pistons. I've had this engine apart now since May of last year I think. So crap had gotten mixed up. A good lesson in to not just stamp your rod caps but also mark the rods somehow to each cap. If I had done that none of this would have happened. I'll post some pictures later of it going back together.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter and that you found all your eggs and didn't eat too much chocolate.

Well it has been almost a month since I posted last here. I have not done much of anything to the engine since then. I had hoped I was going to find some spare funds and buy a new cam for the engine which was part of the reason for waiting. Ended up not being able to buy a new cam so I am going with the stock one for now. But I do have the HS Roller Rockers in 1:1.7 ratio so that will help some.

Today I spent the day taping up the engine getting it ready to paint it. I know it would have been easier and better to do this before I had started putting the engine together. I have decided on my paint for the engine. The block is going to be Hemi Orange, the Heads & oil pan are going to be Silver & the valve covers and air cleaner are black with silver lettering. What do you all think? Should I do them different? The colors are also Harley colors so the theme works for me since I also ride a Harley. Maybe I'll paint my bumpers and stuff the same way?? I'll have to think about that. I also picked up some header paint to repaint my headers once I pull the old engine.

Pictures to follow when I get some of the painting done.

Oops forgot one question, Should I paint the intake manifold? If so what color? Hemi Orange? Silver? Black? This is a Hughes Air Gap BTW.

And one last question: I'm going to get a Snap On MT/G 2500 scanner so should I just get the MT2500 or is there a reason to get the MTG2500?
Thanks everyone for your replies.
