Exactly what HeyYou said, the dummy light in my 97 comes on at 20 psi. The dash gauge only registers between 35 and 45 psi, but the mechanical gauge shows about 30 at idle and 65 above 1000 rpms when it's hot.
I'll hook the mechanical gauge back up to it and take it for a drive and see what it does. It for sure doesn't sound like it doesn't have oil pressure.
You'll have to excuse the angle, it was the only way I could mount my phone and be able to record. But it's been on it's first road test. Will try to get some more done but leaving on a trip Wednesday for 3 weeks. So won't be back until the end of Oct.
Was cleaning up the floor in the garage after replacing the water pump and the floor was slick from the antifreeze and I slipped and wrenched my leg with the prosthetic pretty bad. So I'm done for the day.
I'm getting some fault codes with my injectors and I'm 90% certain that it isn't a wiring issue since the problem moved when I moved the injectors.
Does anyone know what the difference is between Holley 522-308 (30lb) injectors which cost $509.95 & Accel 150830 (30lb) injectors which cost $409.95? Are the Holley injectors worth that extra $100? I was always under the impression that Accel was a quality brand. If the Holley injectors are better than fine.
Right before I took off on a 2 week trip with family I threw the flares & the hood on the Jeep.
Looks pretty good.
When I got home from the trip I had to go out and hug the Jeep and let it know I was home.
Got some things I want to get done and some things that I need to get done before I can take it for another road test.
I did get a 2nd road test in right before I went on my trip. I had a check engine light on when I got back & it was running lean. My hard drive in my garage laptop had gone bad so I wasn't able to get any data logging done.
Get a solid state drive for your laptop. They are dirt cheap these days, and for a portable device, FAR superior to the mechanical drives. More reliable these days too.....
Are you feeding a sense of pride in your accomplishments yet?
It must be gratifying to finally have it out of the shop and running around after all this time.
Well done… I’m smiling for you.
