Those are some knarly tires.

Are they going to hit the front fenders on compression??

Yes they are knarly as heck.

No those pictures were at full compression. The only thing I've still got to check is doing full droop on the other side for a full check of clearance. And I'm waiting on parts for my rear axle before I can do my final checks in the rear.

Ah, cool. The other side dropping down will bring it up some more....... I suspect it's gonna be rather close.

I've spent the past two days getting my snowblower reengined. Instead of buying a new snowblower when this one works fine I picked up one of the Predator engines from Harbor Freight and installed it.

Tonight I finally got a chance to flex my suspension and check for clearance issues with these new tires. As you thought with the driver side at full droop it did bring the tire up closer to the fender/flare. One good thing about these fenders is that the flares are removeable so when I'm going to be hitting harder trails the flare front & back will be coming off.

It looks closer than it really is. There is no rubbing or contact between the tire and fender/flare. With the steering turned full lock to the drivers side.

Tire spins free.

The tire clears the spring/shock tower at full lock. My old tires & rims the tire just contacted the edge.

No rubbing on the frame but I won't know if I have any contact with the SwayLock swaybar until I get the frame painted. I'd be worried about damaging the bushing if I was to install them now when I was to try to to remove them for painting.

Then with the steering turned full lock to the passenger side and there is more than enough room between the tire and the rear of the fender.

The 4th tire finally arrived today.

Awesome. Is the drivers side going to droop any more, with the weight of the wheel/tire on there? That may be a bit problematic.

Your bead-locks look like they have had some interesting encounters in the past.

No that was at full droop. Plus the flares are removeable so if I did have a clearance problem it'd be fixed as easy as taking the flare off.

Yep the buddy I got the rims from isn't known for being easy on his rig. The GOOD part is that I'm not going to cry the first time I scratch one.

What limits suspension travel? You have straps in there for that?

That's thing is going to be a RIOT off-road.

WOW hadn't realized it'd been so long since I'd posted anything on here. I spent most of the spring and summer getting things prepped to be painted and then painted all the armor & fenders for the Jeep. I'd turned my garage into a paint booth.

It isn't show quality but a 20' paint job

Got the engine and drivetrain installed back into the frame and then installed the intake.

Been working on the wiring harness again to make sure I've got things where I wanted some of the sensor plugs rerouted.

But now I've ran into another problem.....

I screwed up and didn't have a starter to check things with and now it appears my upper link for the three link is going to hit it. The easiest option would be to find a 46RE from a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee than had a 5.9 in it. Does anyone know if they ever made a mini type starter for the Ram trucks?

Pretty sure there is a mini starter available....

I like the six pack. That's awesome.

I was able to move the mount on my axle over enough to make the arm clear the starter. I'd still love to find one that was shorter or designed differently than stock type ones.

I tacked the mount back on and then flexed the axle up & down on both sides to make sure it would clear.

It is very tight with not a lot of clearance but it fits.

If there is a mini starter I have not been able to find it anywhere.
