Well from Hughes I can get the stainless one piece valves for $11 each. What do y'all think?

It looks as if I will be needing new valves, lifters, and a cam.

This is the cam I'm looking at buying.

What size intake valves are you running on that 5.2L? If it's 2.02 valves, your p2v clearance is severely limited.

Depending on all the parts involved, that's probably too much cam for 1.7 roller rockers. You're liable to have issues.

If you want to read my pain, go over to bionic dodge and read a thread called "cam swap, advice appreciated" then, "cam swap part 2" and finally, "cam swap part 3" to find out what I went through with an odd cam/intake valve combo. You've got to degree in whatever cam you choose, you don't have much wiggle room with the flat topped pistons.

I have the stock valves 1.92/1.62. So you think I should just go with a stock replacement cam? I'm not looking for big power. I just want my truck back and running at this point lol

I would go with a RV cam and get the most torque you can from it. Let whomever you purchase it from know that you have 1.7 rockers and they can get a custom grind to make it work.

Where do you recommend I get one from? Or at least a good stock cam. I got another engine I'm planning on building for this truck (built 408) and just need it to be streetablr and nothing fancy or over the top.

I don't see how the stock cam could be damaged by this?

My cam I have now has 2 lobes that are in pretty bad shape. If I can just get a stock 5.2 magnum cam for a 99 I wouldn't complain.
