And some of those guys are putting down 500 to 600 hp with Tubos or Blowers, tuning is a huge problem on these things...We aren't Cheebies or Furds.

Prior to SCT, our only choice if using the JTEC PCM was Dave Casper at B&G for a PCM flash where you had to send the PCM in, or Tom Fox.

SCT does have the PRP package so you can tune your own but from what I hear it ain't easy to learn and the tuners out there like "Hemifever" lock their tunes so you can't build on it.

If there was 3rd party software that would allow us to set fuel sync and tune these motors...I'd know about it, and be all over it.

So...What I'm saying is it doesn't exist. But please prove me wrong.

Well I just bought the OBDLINK SX and downloaded the PCMSCAN software. If it does show fuel sync then great. If it doesn't then its only good for scanning for codes and showing diagnostics. Either way I only paid $44 after shipping. I already have an appointment with the dealership and if this doesn't work I won't be upset. I told the tech I would like him to set my sync at +4 to +8 using his DRB scanner and he seemed shocked that I knew what information I did lol

Keep us updated....I have used the stealership in the past for the Dakota drag truck and they let me do it myself, no one wanted to drive it into the engine bay....LOL

Last time I used a borrowed Snap On 2500, but the Ram is getting ready for a little love under the hood, and I'll need to set sync again; would be nice to do it on my lap top at my own pace...

Check on this page, toward the bottom. It's called Fuel Injection Timing.

I have several programs downloaded and an adapter with USB connector in the garage. I started pulling the front clip off the 54 today....but I may have to tinker with this tomorrow for giggles and grins!

I will let everyone know as soon as I get everything in this week to get my truck up and running. I bought the cable and downloaded the PCMSCAN software and the higher end ScanXL. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but not canceling my appointment with the dealership til I know for sure it will work with my truck.

Some parameters may not be supported by all vehicles

I hate that...

I seen that too lol I got the full version of the ScanXL Pro, OBDwiz, and working on getting the full copy of PCMSCAN. Gotta love google magic for finding free cracked software hook ups. The way I see it is if none of these softwares work then I will have one heck of a diagnostic station on my hands LOL
