HeyYou, does yours have one upstream O2 or two? If it has one the computer only has a OBD2 interface for reading data and codes, but inside is still partly OBD1. I have the latest PCM available for these early 1996's. So I am a little concerned about that, but if yours has one upstream O2 and worked fine it should work here too.

I only have one upstream O2. California emissions trucks had more. I haven't put a tuner on my truck.... yet..... but, that is part of the plan. Hemifever's SCT tuners actually support the 96 dodge trucks, he should be able to set you right up.

Ok, well let me know how it goes LOL... I may end up yet getting the Mopar performance PCM if we keep this truck.

Techningeer and HeyYou, can you share which PCM part number is used on your vehicles? I have an 11/95 production '96 Ram 2500 4x4 and the PCM used on it is a 56040892.

I have to consider the fact my truck never had the death flash. So some of those claimed gains could be more noticeable for some. I'm going to play around with it for the next couple days. I got the 87, 91, and 93 tunes in mine.

EDITED 20 minutes later

Curiosity, I put the 91 tune in, and notice better results through mid range, pulls great at WOT through 2nd and 3rd gear, shifting almost at 4900 rpm. I might have to stick with this one. Revs up great in park, better than the 93 tune did.
Yeah mine never had the deathflash either. But i like the 91 tune pretty good. I can take off and spin the wheels sitten still sometimes but i have pretty small tires. I can spin them good when I'm turning from a stop though. I'm sure i won't be able to do that when i put 33s on though. But I'm curious of whether or not i want to try the 93 tune out. I think hemifever did more work to my 87 and 91 tune so it might not be too much of a difference compared to the 93 tune.

Just wandering, but where did all you SCT owners put your badge hemifever gave you? I want to put it on the back but don't know where haha.
