If you haven't unplug negative battery cable, turn on headlights, then jump up and down three time while praising dodge gods. Then reconnect negative cable put truck in 1st gear and let er rip. Should fix your problem. Put it back in drive and see if it goes through all four gears including torque converter lockup
Ps. Headlights will most likely not even turn on but leave the switch on while jumping around

Give it a shot. Basically, what he is suggesting is forcing the PCM to forget everything it knows about how the engine runs, and relearning it. Certainly can't hurt.....

Hey i am just sayin man. Picture in your sig suggests it too. The auto trans in these trucks are weak. Thats known. Try these things they are telling you, but its sounding like a trans issue that is going to get worse until you take it apart and replaced what has been damaged. I dont understand auto transmissions, which is why i buy manuals. Sorry i know Im not helping...

If you haven't tried it don't knock it, like heyyou said it will reset the PCM and clear any codes.
If said truck had a tranny problem related to computer this can help. You have a transmission harness connector that is prone to getting water in it. It can cause different things from the tranny. Water gets everywhere when offroading I know this as a fact.
