its gotta be electrical. could be a dirty connection, somewhere. or the vehicle side of the harness is grounding out somewhere.

Possible output speed sensor, PCM, etc. Does the speedo do strange things when the trans misbehaves?

If you put your vehicle info in your signature we could answer that question. Just makes it easier for us...

Since you've got a 99, you can do the key trick.

Do what heyyou said, on/off three times, third time you keep it on.

Something should start blinking and the odo window will start flashing codes at you.

Your gonna be killing that trans if you dont soon regear your axles.. Key trick will work for your 99... Try it and see what you get

Ive tried the key trick a few time and havent got it tow work but ill try agaun when i get home, and i planned on regearing once i get the money, and i was also talkig to a guy about it at work today and he said it sounded like the torque converter, what do u guys think about that?
