Think you need to cycle the key fairly quick..... (like three times in five seconds or so....)

TCC IS in the torque converter........ however, I would eliminate every other possibility before dropping the trans to change it. (not that internal failure is unheard of on these..... )

So last night i read that the governor press and o2 sensor share a ground so sence i had an o2 code i got under the truck and checked the o2 wires and plugs and found that one of the wires were cut and spliced and the splice and come undone so i redid the splice and taped it up. I also adjusted the tv cable but in the "how to's" i read the said to adjust it a base idle possion and im not quite shure where base idle is but i adjusted it the best i could and this morning i took it for a test drive and it did not shift or " slip " back to 1st gear. But it did feel like it shifted hard, like a really ferm shift.

So could it have been that wire on my o2 sensor all along?

And how do i know if the tv cable is adjusted right? Could it be to tight?

It it doesn't do it again.... then you prolly got it fixed.

Yeah, sounds like TV cable is a tad to tight. Base Idle just means throttle all the way closed. (nobody stepping on the gas.)

I also dont have any check engine light at least not yet..lol

And i tried a couple diffrent ways of checking for codes, one being the key trick, on off on off on. And i also held the trip button when i turned the key to the on possion, and held the trip button with the key trick. And none of them work

Is there any other way to check for codes without a scanner?

When you have some time, just take it for a drive. Make sure you have a phone with you... so if you do have problems, you can just make a call.
