Hey all,

The plastic piece/lip on my 2nd gen ram 1500 flew off the other day while I was on the highway. I been coming different forums and the internet, but can't figure out what it is called or where to find a replacement part. The closest I get is either a full bug deflector across the hood or a headlight assembly. All I want are the lips that sit right above the headlights. The adhesive that was holding it on has basically turned to dust and when I touch it, it crumbles and falls off. Any ideas?

Don't know about a 96, but no such plastic piece on a 99. Maybe if you post up a photo we could understand what you are looking for.

IMO the truck looks much better without bug deflectors... Matt N - you are spot on! That is such a relief, I may just purchase from there.


I might also post pics tomorrow, maybe get some other sources. I uploaded a user pic, it's the black lip thing above the headlight shown, if you can get a good view of the picture. That's the piece that fell off.

 

I happen to have a brand new ,unopened set of Ventshade lids. PM me if you are interested.

 

Why is it, I am just NOT surprised, that zman has some of these laying around?

 

LOL, I bought the complete set for my 98 and don't like the looks of lids. So I never used them.
