Doesn't matter so much with the crank sensor.....

Cam sensor is next up on the list. It's under the distributor cap, and generally referred to as a 'pick-up coil'. (no, being in a pick-up has nothing to do with it. )

I just recently started having the same problem on my Ram. Nothing yet. Has done it twice in about two weeks. First time was just a couple of minutes and then the next time was about 20 minutes. I had a similar problem on a 92 Ford E-350. On it the culprit was a clogged catalytic converter.

I'm having about the same problem with my wifes Durango, but it will run fine for say a week and then out of the blue start running poorly and sometimes stop running at all. It will restart and sometimes it will run fine and sometimes not. It has been driving me mad. Ran a scan on it and it showed no problems

You need to post your question in the correct generation Durango section. Even though we here might be able to help, you didn't even state what year it is. ?

May just need to re-learn idle. Disconnect the battery for five minutes or so, reconnect, start the truck, let it idle. See if it figures it out.

Do the tune up, and report results.
