Trimming Required
Might move the fronts outboard a bit. That *might* cause some clearance issues, but, yours is the first I have heard of with 5" lift that needed extensive trimming for 35" tires. Tell them not to worry about the trimming, and you will take care of it if it becomes necessary. Don't let them talk you into anything without actually seeing the tires ON the truck.
Wheel mounting surface moves outboard a bit. I think.
Just because you say you can run a 35's with a level kit does not mean it's right. There was no way in hades that I would have fit a 35 with just a level kit.
So I'm on my phone now. Work computer decided to reboot during all of this.
Can't see the instructions and I didn't see anything on the webpage mentioning that the mounting surface moves outwards. They do state the center bore is larger, seems odd they wouldn't mention anything else.
They will eventually have to take the truck out to make sure the gears are good... There is no way they've even put the tires on yet and the guy that called didn't say "this is because of your hub conversion" which makes me wonder if they are going off pre conceived notions over visually seeing it.
I'm waiting on a call back, but am definitely leaning towards saying no. If no one here thinks there needs to be trimming, odds are the shop won't know better. Not saying they are wrong, but not sure how many 2nd gen rams they see.
